PIC Library

PIC students had the honor of meeting author Jonathan Stokes, who wrote the Thrifty Guide to travel books. Here are some happy students waiting for Mr. Stokes to autograph their new books.

On Thursday, March 9, 2017 Judge Anderson from the Will County Courthouse came to speak with our 4th graders through the "One Judge, One Book, One Goal" Program. He read the story Abe Lincoln's Hat and discussed the importance of setting goals, the law, and what judges do to help people. Our students asked great questions, and learned a lot!

On Thursday, October 8, 2015 author Tom Watson visited PIC to talk to the students about his
Stick Dog books. The 4th and 5th graders loved hearing about the stories and learning how to draw the dog characters! We are anxiously awaiting the publishing of his next book in January, and his new series in May!

We were fortunate to have received a generous donation of nearly 70 graphic novels in memory of a former Peotone student who recently passed away. Students are very excited about checking out these beautiful new books! What a wonderful gift.
